Use a Gas Barbecue for the Ultimate Grilling Perfection
If you like to barbeque you know you have two main
choices when it comes to the type of barbeque grill you prefer to use. You
can use the more traditional charcoal grill or the more high tech gas grill.
Deciding between the two can be difficult and since most of us are cost
conscious the cheaper charcoal grill may look like a good deal. But is it?
While a charcoal grill may have lower price right off the bat your long term
savings in both time and money will actually be less with a gas grill. Your
cost in propane or natural gas will be much less then what you spend on
charcoal and lighter fluid. You will also spend less time waiting for your
grill to get ready to start cooking on. With charcoal you have to light the
coals and wait up to a half hour before they are ready to go, so there has
to be a little more planning on your part. With a gas barbeque you just push
the ignite button and 5 minutes later you are ready to start grilling.
These days’ gas barbeques are coming with lots of extra accessories too. You
can get burners off to the side of the main grilling surface that are good
for a pot of beans or chili, a built in motorized rotisserie and the most
important thing, lots of grilling space. If you like to grill big meals for
lots of people you can’t beat a gas grill for the sheer area of available
grilling space.
And with that large grilling space you can have multiple burners that allow
you to adjust the heat according to what you are cooking on which section of
grill. You will also get nice even heat distribution with a gas grill,
something that can be hard to match with a bed of hot coals.
Trying to decide which type of grill to get can be mind boggling. Realize
that there are pluses and minuses to charcoal and gas barbeques, but
hopefully the information given here will help you in making the choice that
is best for you.
